Understanding the 7 Capabilities in PLP
The 7 Capabilities in PLP are the same Capabilities as the General Capabilities found in the Australian Curriculum.
Understanding and developing the 7 Capabilities is not only vital in PLP, but will assist students as they move into the Research Project in Year 11 and in all of their Australian Curriculum subjects.
The 7 Capabilities are:-
The following activities will assist students to gain a basic understanding of all of the 7 Capabilities, so that they can choose one capability to develop through PLP and Work Experience.

- Information Communication Technology
- Personal and Social Development
- Critical and Creative Thinking
- Intercultural Understanding

ACTIVITY 1: Once you have read through the information provided about the 7 capabilities, check your understanding of each of these and complete the capabilities checkbox task. Discuss your responses with your parents/caregivers. Do they agree with your understanding of your own capabilities? Record their response in dot point form on your work sheet, and save to your PLP Portfolio.
